An Evening with Geoffrey Canada

As President and CEO of the revolutionary Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City, Geoffrey Canada has dedicated the past 20 years of his life to helping the most impoverished, at-risk youth beat the odds. Radically ambitious and startlingly simple, Canada’s programs are on the cutting edge of preventing youth violence and fostering community development.

Do not miss this opportunity to meet Mr. Canada and hear his inspirational message of educational reform!

The New Jersey State Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC), a program of Prevent Child Abuse–New Jersey (PCA-NJ) was established in 2006 with funding from US Department of Education. NJPIRC provides services designed to ensure that students in New Jersey, particularly those in low performing districts, achieve higher academic performance. It is the goal of NJPIRC to help parents become more involved in their child’s educational lives and to make partnerships between parents, schools, and communities stronger.
